Students around the world

Databases

Do you know the capital of Morocco? Do you know which country in Africa has the largest population?

This unit is about how information is stored in a database. You will learn about records and fields, different types of field (including a BLOB!) and how to find information by sorting and searching. You can also find out about data protection of personal information.

It is important to understand how to structure a database before you try to create one yourself. Otherwise you will put data in, but you might not be able to get useful information out.
